Sega Royal Ascot is an electronic horse race betting game with 12 individual betting stations. Each station is equipped with a colour monitor. The race is featured on the 50" projection TV display and on the detailed track in the middle of the betting stations. The players can bet for a horse to win or go for the quinella. The race contains 6 race horses and jockeys, and players can customise the name of their horse.
The machine runs a game approximately every 1.5 minutes and there are millions of possible races. The race is simulcast on display in real time and an announcer start and finishes the race as well as making calls during the race.
