The first World Amusement & Game Summit 2005 (WAGS) will be held from 24-26 March in Seoul, with the aim of establishing an opportunity for the advancement of the Korean arcade game industry in the overseas market.

The Summit will feature seminars and lectures by industry professionals about developments and trends of the world arcade game market and obstacles and solutions to enter the world game market. Highway Entertainment Managing Director, Mr Steve Josifovski will be among the speakers;

"With much downturn in our industry it is very encouraging that the Korean Arcade Industry is looking to solve real world problems with game development, game distribution and trying to rebuild the industry. It's very refreshing that manufacturers are asking distributors and game players what they are looking for".

Other speakers will include Kim Young Sam, Director of Game & Music Industry Division; Norman Leftly, Manager of Technical Dream Company; Lee Jae Kwon, Executive Secretary of KOPA; Ron Carrara, Vice President of Cadillac; James Ko, President of Andamiro USA; Frank Seninsky, President of Alpha-Omega Group; Novoski, President of Atlus and Chen Hwei Chung, President of TAMA.

It is estimated the Summit will boast over 300 participants, including members of overseas arcade game associations and Korean Game Association, manufacturers and game developers. The Summit is organised and managed by the Korea Game Development & Promotion Institute (KGDI) and the KOPA Organisation Committee and sponsored and supported by the Ministry of Culture / Tourism, the Korea Amusement Industry Promotion Association (KAIPA), F2System, Andamiro, Uniana and Gameload.
