Derby Owners Club 2000 is a horse racing simulator involving raising a horse, training the horse and racing the horse. Effectively, the player takes on the role of owner, trainer, and jockey of their horse.

You can race your horses against 11 other computer AI horses or other players also playing. Depending on where your horse finishes, you will win be awarded a purse. You can train your horse in certain areas and their abilities will increase.

The machine consists of eight player satellites and two side by side 50inch monitors, with each player controlling one of the satellites.
